Will Daugherty | President and CEO | Pacific Science Center

Will Daugherty joined Pacific Science Center as President and CEO in January 2016 with more than 20 years of leadership experience. Prior to Pacific Science Center, Will served as Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Washington, where he worked with faculty, researchers, administrators, and students across the university to identify technologies with commercial promise and to launch new businesses. Will previously held executive roles with P&L responsibility at companies including Amazon, Expedia, and AT&T Wireless. He began his business career with management consulting firm McKinsey & Company, working for 10 years in Asia, Europe, and North America and becoming a partner and leader in the firm’s high-tech practice.

Will has a longstanding passion for education, science, technology, math, and the natural world. Since 1999, he has served on boards of directors of not-for-profit institutions including the Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose, the Olympic Park Institute, and KEXP 90.3 FM. Will earned a BA in Politics from Princeton University, where he also served as a Research Assistant in the Center for Energy and Environmental Studies, and a MA in Political Science from Columbia University, where he taught graduate and undergraduate courses in international relations, military strategy, and political economy.
